I'd just like an overview of what/who posts to the new subforums, as I'm sure everyone else would too.

Um I think anyone can post a bug to the bug report forum.

The bugs in that are then listed in Bugs Forum are moderated by me and are the current bugs that need to be fixed.
:D Ulciscor :D

I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure.

Any member can post in the Bug Reports forum. Ulc is going to moderate it so that we don't get a bunch of O/T discussions springing up.

He will then move reports into the Bug List forum where nobody but admins can post.

That way we will have a nice tidy list of current bugs.

Exactly the same thing it is for now.

Just carry on the way we are. general discussions of bugs and stuff. We don't want the discussions to end up in the bug report forum, just the actual report wherever possible.

Ulc has taken on the task of sifting through all the crap that we post to find the actual bug reports and move them to the list

I like to have a bit of order and logic and coherency to things.
I'm not anal retentive about it ...
but it does seem a good thing to be able to find the information
one needs when one needs it.
does it not?

and so ...
as I find the bugs/fixes here ...
and can put together the information needed to locate where/how to fix them...
I wll be adding them to a central location in what is hopefully an easy to read
and nonconfusing format:
http://www.darwinbots.com/WikiManual/index...tle=Bug_Reports
everything that is needed to incorporate the fixes should be here.
if it isn't ... hey ... learn how to edit the wiki and add it yourself! ;)

I have also indicated exactly where in the code they need to be placed ...
in what modual and routine/subroutine or function.
the bug report page links each fix to the page where it is shown in the
context of the modual/routine.
Each of the moduals is shown and can be found here:
http://www.darwinbots.com/WikiManual/index.php?title=Bas
I will expand it as more bugs/fixes are found.
or better yet ... some of you might help.

in addition ...
one can easily read the code in the moduals ...
and there is a discussion tab on each page that we might use to ask
questions about the code ... how/why it works ... or whatever.
seems like a good way to bring lots of peeps up to speed on how
DarwinBots operates.

check it out people ...
there are some definte advantages to wikis ...
whatever you can figure out how to do ... you pretty much can.

all this info will be here for new folks too ...
as DarwonBots expands and takes over the world. ;) ...
long after the messages here presenting the bugs are lost under all
the piles of new messages and impossible to sor out.
(as if it's possible now) ;)

and if not ...
well ...
so it goes.
I tried.

Also I think it whould be a good idea that if the developers comes up with a new solution to fix a problem, that solution should be put into the wiki and the old solution should be removed. When it comes to the run-time error 6 problem more than one solution have been presented here.
The internet is corrupt and controlled by criminally minded people.

I think that runtime error 6 ... an overflow ...
can be caused by more than one bug in the code.

it continues to visit me ... just from new places.
we are like old friends now. ;)
