I've recently found DB, and learned some basic genomic modding. Ive figured out how to make my bots kill every other bot provided with the DL, as well as establishing a rudimentary swarm behaviour (which im pretty proud of). I'm just wondering what I can do now? Is there a way to 'evolve' these guys? (like having to keep making them better?).

And how do I make these 'zerobots' go through those long-time evo-sims?

Hi and welcome.

The bots in the download are pretty old and stupid.  You might try going up against the more modern bots you will find in the beastiary.

Internet Mode is always fun.   Just hit the little computer button on the button bar...    There's some evolved bots in there at are a bitch to beat.

Evolving you're hand written bots is doable, but providing the right selection pressure to select for interesting adaptations is key.

Zerobot Evo sims take a lot of time and patience and some sophistication to set up and run for results.  There are some big topics on this in the evo sim forum.
