I think interest in this community is kind of daisy chain reacted with other people's interest.
If you get one person interested again, it fuels everyone else, which fuels even more interest, etc.
Liekwise if a person has to leave for a while or loses interest it pulls interest away.

Forums are fun. :D
I hang out in loads of them.
Here are a few of them.
EVC forum Evolution Vs. Creation. I didn't make this one.
Spec-Res. This is a forum on a web site that I am in the process of building. The site is designed to be a dedicated resource for the analytical chemistry industry. Might also generate me a bunch of advertizing income too. B)
Kuro-Tejina. Another of my fledgling web-sites. I am pushing this one to become a leading contender as the top MMORPG (Massive Multi-player Online Role Playing Game) resource on the web. Not much going on there yet though. There is only so much of me to go around and a full time job, Darwinbots and three websites (see links for The Story Sanctum on my sites) is pretty much taking up all my time. :(

You're suffering from an infestation of feeping creaturism in your life.
PurpleYouko:
How the heck do you come up with this crap Num?
Do you just wander around the web all day trying to find the weirdest stuff that you can lay hands on? :D
Sounds like you have way too much spare time on your hands. <_<
Besides, I like Feeping creatures. They are just SO cute!!

I have no idea myself really.
For instance, I found feeping creaturism thusly:
I went on to wikipeida to look up information on Maxis (I'm thinking of trying to become a game designer at Maxis. That's the goal anyway). Somehow I got sidetracked to the article about StarCraft: Ghost.
That led me to a reference about the long development time. Specifically it mentions a Penny Arcade comic linking it to Duke Nukem Forever.
Duke Nukem Forever led me to look up Ultima 9: Ascension (which I have (and hate)).
Ultima 9, while it doesn't specifically mention feature creep, got me thinking about it (I knew of the term before hand) so I looked it up.
I never know what I'm going to learn when I go looking on wikipedia.
