Come back, come back

Testlund:
I'm not sure I understand what you're suggesting here, Griz. Sorry.    All I know is that I started a simulation in the 2.37.6 version. Later I saved the simulation, quit the program. Later again I couldn't load it. I've tried several things, wich I've allready mensioned in other posts. If the save/load actually works for some of you then I don't know what to say. Is it a force major? Does the program hate my computer? Does it have to be a certain setting for the sim for it to work? That whouldn't make any sense. Whatever the cause it is too complicated to mess around with. It's not worth the time. I've given up.

shvarz:
I assume you already posted the saved sim?  Give a link, please, I'll check it out.

Numsgil:

As I'm coding it, I'm smoothing out alot of coding tangles.  Alot of problems the program has have to do with little 3 line patches all over the place reducing the readability of the code.  Many of these are mine, so I'm not pointing any fingers here.

So the port should run faster and more stable.  Of course, a number of new bugs are more than likely, but hopefully they'll be easy to debug once spotted.

Numsgil:
For the record, if you can point to something specifically and say "this, fix this", we usually fix it.

We're just not very good at tracking down bugs ourselves, probably because we know what not to do.

--- Quote ---maybe henk can design a new ballet bot and to a nutcracker sim?

OOH! A new challenge.

Can anyone design a bot that will dance in a predefined and choreographed way?

That would be cool  B)

That's the worst idea I've heard in ages... I'll try it out!  :)
