Thank you for your coapiraton (I am still thinking about that dreaded polarity problem)

Let me be very explicit.

All those little drop down menues you see that aren't in the advanced physics panel are simply little shortcuts to effecting the controls you see in the advanced physics panel.

It's the advanced physics panel sliders that are saved and loaded to disk.

If the shortcut dropdown menus don't appear to be set to anything, that doesn't mean the physics constants aren't.

I GOT IT! YES! (sorry for lack of understanding of anything thats not too explisit)
