Title: Story Sanctum project underway again
Post by: PurpleYouko on November 17, 2005, 09:08:30 AM
[shameless plug]

Finally! My Story Sanctum project has been rejuvenated again.

I have begun to revamp the site a little and have uploaded a couple more of my own short stories.

Anyone fancy themselves as an author?

If so then go to The Story Sanctum  (http://storysanctum.st.funpic.org/index.htm) and submit your story.

(there is also a link to the site in the "non-DarwinBots Links" forum.)

I started the site because I couldn't find any place that was willing to showcase my own work for free. The service I offer costs nothing so  :P  to all those sites that charge a fee.

Go check it out.

Any site that wants to host stories for a fee is a plain rip job.

You should host them for free, pretend they're really great, and offer to publish the work at no cost.  Then offer to sell the author one of the books.  Hehe.

I am actually thinking of going commercial if it takes off.

I will still publish for free but possibly sell novels or anthologies of archived stories. (printed or electronic format)

Obviously the authors will recieve a comission if this happens.  :D

Send them directly to my email rather than the link on the site. I am having a little difficulty logging on to my webmail for the site.

My password doesn't seem to work.

I clicked on the little button that says "forgot my password" and requested that they send it to me.

Can you gues what the dick-heads did?

Yup they sent it to the email address that I can't access without the frickin password.

I think I might have to change to a different webmail account for submissions.  :(

if you did poetry on the site you would get a lot of people who would put there poetry up.

What are you on about Bots?

All the stories at "The Story Sanctum" are saved up as HTM documents and load as web pages.

Glad you liked "God's Computer"

Have any of your own stories you want to show off?

There's nothing rhetorical about it.

I haven't got a clue what you are talking about.

What took ages to load? The story? the firefox thingy or what?
