This is quite boring to look at when you got 200 veggies in a clump doing nothing.
-
This is how it should look.
-
This tends to happen when you have blocked veggies.
The veggies grow bigger and bigger without pushing each other away, resulting in an eventual veggy stack.
I'm open for suggestions on how this should be fixed. Moving the veggies when a collision occurs is the obvious solution, but then that doesn't address the fact that they're supposed to be fixed.
Limiting growth if there is a collision is also a possibility...

I'm sure I didn't select blocked mode, but who knows. THE SETTINGS I CHOSE DOESN'T STAY PUT! :banghead: ...at least in some of the settings they don't. Any plans on fixing the rest of GUI, by the way. I whould really like that gradient in the pond mode to work like it did in 2.36.7. Grrr! Now I need another cider to console myself. :P

maybe it could be that fixed bots/vegs can only be pushed away by other fixed bots.

Um, I didn't realize it wasn't working...
Are you hitting "change" or "start new" when you change things and not the x in the upper corner? Be sure you're applying your changes. That's the most obvious problem.
Blocked controls at least work perfectly for me. I haven't played with pond mode for a while...
Don't think I'm psychic and can read your mind about what works/doesn't.

btw ...
I can't find what now controls 'floation' in 2.4x ...
or if there is such a thing.
There isn't really any explicit controls, I thought I mentioned this already.
Boyancy is determined by density of the medium and volume of the bot.
Since volume is only really modified by body at the moment, this is sort of limited in usefullness. You can either have bots all sink or all float. Not terribly exciting.

That's not a bad idea.

one solution I found was to use the FloatingVeggies ...
who tend to migrate to the upper left corner ...
although they also seem to fall to the bottom at some stage.
Which floating veg were you using? I uploaded one a while ago that was like that. If I remember correctly it was because the accel(not buoyancy) gene relied on edge to control speed. Whenever it'd run into a side wall it'd also start falling.
