Funny how we see a sudden explosion of projects....

Btw Nums, it is not me!!! Creating two project, seem a little to much for me.
And something to support me idea, that this "Lord Cell" actually is from the DB community...:
its new and underconstruction, if I get everything to work out on the paper the programming should not take to long (unless things happen), and No its not greven. If ive been on the forum or not and what my name is if ive been will be revealded.
Looking forward to the revelation... ;)

I think the realism and natural approach is great that you're trying to achive, and I think that should be the main goal with DB too. But I think you guys should try to work together and finish ONE product that will kick ass on the alife scene. Instead you seem to work on different things and never get finished. Why don't you help each other to first solve the bugs, then fix the GUI, then make the load sim and insert autosaved bots work, then you move on to the next stage with enzymes and all that stuff. Just thought I should give you my oppinion. Anyway, I will follow the progress of both CELL and DB, if that's what you have desided to do. ;)

I work on VB and dont know alot of c++ so tahts gonna be a problem. but im much more for realism as you can see. Right now im just trying to work things out on the paper when its done im gonna create a alpha version that is very simple that you can use. but how did you find my project guys?

it might be colorful but the pain it cause is nothing compared to your writing style. and what ive seen on the forum I dont seem to be the only one to dislike it

I think it's in the Admin control panel. Don't know where, it's been way too long since I configured this forum

Just me but I'm glad we're all still using the same starting template for user interactivity. Been sucessful so far :) If you want anything from the wiki feel free, the stuff thats still relativly the same can be linked to as a start. No guarantees it'll stay the same always though.
Db is reproducing :D
As long as the core Dna features stay relativly the same(or are improved B) ) all DB's myriad of offspring should be quality programs.
Only issues I can see are division of interest, we really need to start attracting more members from outside.

That's what I'm thinking. On the one hand, suvccessful child projects are a testament to the father/mother project.
On the other side, I dunno that we have enough members to start forming splinter groups ;)

- Becuase it must be you, alot of your main ideas from DB, has been put into CELL
- The main style of the forum, the rules etc.
- "Lord Cell"'s writing style,
- Intiuition
- The email from the CELL forum is from Zelos...blabla (discovered this recently)
Remember Zelos, there is no shame in making something new.

I find most of your ideas very interesting.
And I think my "attack" against you, becuase of your negative critism and "attack" on SoL, made you think that you also could, which I have no doubt about you can.
My reason for making a new name in the SoL forum, was that "Greven" though my nickname in danish, is not very "international", and Deven (found on a babynames website :)), were nice. Of course I was afraid of the reaction from the DB community, but well, there is no idea in being afraid, actully I think most of the A-LIFE people is interested in new simulators.
Go ahead Zelos, if you need help, I am willing to give it, in both ideas, programming etc.

I hate you both so very very much, ure a bunch of bastards destroing the suprice. well, if you write over the negatives words and replace whem with nothing it might be more correct but its less fun writing it. I wanted it to be a surprice and now its ruined

"Lord Cell" had a very proper writing style that quickly degraded into Zelos's quick-n-easy style.

Hey Zelos, the email from the your forum were zelos...@... If I hadnt said it, someone else had, and people are not stupid. But sorry anyway, I didnt want to ruin it for you. And all the negative words??? :o were is the negative words?? I love your ideas, and I would certainly like to see something from you, and I havent said otherwise.

negative words = that I called you bastards
wanted it to be a surprice, and another reason I wanted to keep it quite is cause I tend to start a project and never finish it, lets hope this is one of the few exeptions

Well can't we discuss this on your own forum and not DB. It is rather confusing, to know were to look. However it is difficult, just to come up with ideas, without knowing the problem (as I also have said to Bau about his smexe, but he wouldnt let me help him). I mean want is your ideas, want problems have you stubbled upon. Different aproaches at different problems. Some might be good one way, and some the other. And I cant just state my ideas out in the blue, when I have nothing to compare it to. (Well it is the case, but some might think otherwise ;) :D)

Zelos try to make a post, were you write pro and cons about some of your ideas, and the basics behind it. Comment the problems you have stumbled upon. Etc. Wouldnt be to hard.
I cannot ask you all the time how you have done this and that.
