Wiki update:
Created links to Central link wiki's Ideas and Whimsical.
Ideas is designed to allow group interaction on either programming projects or discussions.
Whimsical is for DB related stories and such.
I posted a warning above the links so new users will know they aren't directly part of the manual.
Hopefuly, this will allow creativity without confusing people.
Specific intentions with both links is vague, so feel free to do with them what you like.
Alot of work has been done with improving user wiki help. You've got Griz to thank for that one. It's [you]really[/you] helpful having someone onboard who knows there way around the wiki's more advanced abilities.

there is now a Darwinbots Roundtable at the wki ...
http://www.darwinbots.com/WikiManual/index...itle=RoundTable (http://www.darwinbots.com/WikiManual/index.php?title=RoundTable)
this envisioned as a central/general discussion area for one and all.
come talk.
-
A wiki is NOT a forum you guys... I don't see the logic...
What we all really need to do is get microsoft interent conference and a bunch of high qulity mics and cams.
-
and why is it called "whimsical " anyway? from the word "wimp" as in post the c**p no one cares about in here?
-
No, whimsical from the root word whimsy. Meaning light hearted or merthful :bash: :lecture:
-
The RoundTable is mainly so we can all talk more or less individually to each other without cluttering up our talk pages. It gets kind of annoying having to copy over discussions each time so we know what the heck each other is talking about.
I personally see no problem using the wiki like this, there isn't any real rules(within reason) about what can be done with them.
I made the whimsical section so that people could post up less directly related articles, without mixing it in the main pages. I kind of thought you'd all like it :sad2:
The stuff people have come up with can be interesting but it needs it's own home, where it won't confuse new members.

A wiki is NOT a forum you guys... I don't see the logic...
it's just a central area where those who wish to talk can.
if you don't ... then don't.
hey Bots ...
are you always pissed at something/someone?
seems so.
-
No, [Bots] might just be having a bad day/week whatever; we all get them.
From what I've seen, he has always been enthusiastic about DB and has taken all the jokes about his spelling etc in his stride.
Everyone, just chill!
-
:puke:
Oh... you said chill...
-
Any excuse to use that emote...
-
It's just so much fun.
-
ok, ok....
How the hell do I chat on the round table anyway?
Endy, Why not just post Db releated storys on the fourm? on the wiki it looks neater?
[span style=\'font-size:8pt;line-height:100%\'](Bad weak just got worse, turns out I wrote the shortest essay in the class (mid term) for history a well, and now we are doing "laten music appresiation" in there. not to mention I just done intergrating some alot of HH for firstBot to awoid running each simulation several weeks. involves evolving theone 8000 cycles with x28 mutation rates causeing bugs over my head at times)[/span]

Well, first you should get an account so we know who the heck is talking to us.
Then you just go to the top of the page and click edit. Then you edit it like it's a word document. Then you hit preview (which I'm terrible at remember to do) to see if it's all there that you want to put. Then you hit save.
-
(I dont see a difference between that and the forum , but hey I was never really there to try it)
Endy...

Well, simply that if you're logged into the wiki anyway and want to discuss soemthing vaguely wiki-related, that would be a good place to do it.
