Hello all!

I had discovered this program quite a while ago, but didn't really use it much.  Then, about a week ago, I rediscovered it, and have been enjoying myself immensely.

Ph, and before I forget, I'd like to thank the community, especially Purple Youko, for the wealth of infromation available on creating bots.  I'd have been completely lost if not for some of those tutorials, heh.  

Anyways, to make a long story short, I created a bot that seems to do alright in the F2 league, and was wondering how I might go submitting it?

Heh, It's so fun putting on bot fights.  But wow, TheOne hust walks all over my bot.  lol, right now I'm trying out my bot against anon_terrifica.  He won the first three rounds, but is currently in a stalemate, 4 of him vs. 260-280 of Anon.  Been going on like that for 4000 cycles now. Wait, it looks like he's finnaly going to win.  After 10,000 cycles of stalemate.

I love Dawrwin bots.

Hi Unc

Welcome to the DB family.

If you want a bot entered into the league, the first thing to do is to go into the beastiary and start a new topic under the league heading that you want to enter. Then copy the text of your robot into the thread and finally upload the text file.

Then just let us know it is there. (talk about it in the Bot Tavern)
Pretty soon the member responsible for that particular league will rerun it and post the new league order with your bot in place.

PS glad you liked my tutorials. They are a bit out of date now  :(

Have you tried the auto-league function yet?

I have just added your bot to the bottom of F2 to give it a go.
Got through 20th spot pretty easily but it is having some serious trouble against Jez's Circumversor Cantharissa. (she was made back in V2.35 or something)

first round:
A_Praxidikae lead for a very long time but isn't making much headway.
Cantharissa is now out in front.
It appears that its poison is going to win the day.
27000 cycles so far and Cantharissa is leading by 275 to 46

I think your bot has a bit of a problem shooting consistently.  :(

Hmm....  I see what you mean.

*goes and tries to figure out why Prax won't shoot at Cantharis*

Don't get me wrong here.
Cantharis has a poison defence system. Primitive but still quite effective.
It seems like Prax doesn't shoot as reliably as some other bots even when he is only against veggies. Not sure why yet. may be the strangely cool erratic way that he moves. :D

Heh.  I've got Prax vs. Cantharis running right now too.  It's so pathetically sad.

When I get up close and look, though, it appears that Prax doesn't even attempt to fire or even get close to Cantharis.  I bet it's my species recognition stuff.  hmm...

Ah well.  Hopefully he'll defeat the Cantharis twins through the power of old age.   :lol:

Yup. Looks like Prax is the better survivor. He will just starve them out.

Such a pathetic way to win, though.  I'll need to work some on improving his results vs. the Cantharis twins.
