Problem is your ideas on improving Darwinbots tend to be rather drastic and unfounded in either science or other ALife sims but your own.

I would respond more favorably to "Tierra does X, why can't Darwinbots" -or- "Recent science has suggestetd Y, and I would like to simulate this with Darwinbots."

Now imagine that I approched the real world the same way, that will give you a scare...

And as you can see , I tend to analize my own thoughts as a computer program.

To tell you the truth all the analgys I maid when I invented PusherBots have been erased from my harddrive, only the invention itself remians in my memory, waiting for my lazy behind to actualy sit there do all the calculations to make into vb program. I am currently stuck on the auto user-error fixing for the mutation rates textbox. I want it to fix on the fly as the user is typing but it usualy goes out of range somewere, stuff like that.

But as you don't seem to see, scientists approach the real world in exactly that way.
When you want to drasticly change the way something works, it is known a "paradigm shift". When you want to do this you had damn well better have a shed load of eveidence to back up your position.
Why is your way better than the existing way?
When has a similar approach been used successfully in a parallel field?
If you can satisfy this then perhaps your way will be tried out.

The problem is, there is no parallel field on some of the things we are doing. Therefor, we have to resort to trial and error. I am saying "we" because I am not alone, there are other developers who use almost the same approach. We are doing cutting edge stuff here, and people just should except that and let us be. And, I make my stuff optional anyway.

Not to be a hypocrite but why did you reply to your super old thread?

Very off topic:
Got distracted, sorry (did you know you can get to lvl 60 from lvl 35 in WoW over a weekend?).
Runescape... circa 2007
Muhahahaha

I guess you answered your own question, I thought he did not like something I was doing, even-though I did not submit any crazy monster changes... I thought he was ignoring me...

The button line is, I should stop thinking this way.
