Title: Day/night cycle trouble again OPEN
Post by: Testlund on December 06, 2007, 05:19:58 PM
In this sim it changed to night after 1900 cycles despite that I have it set to 25000. It happend two times in a row when I started a new sim now. I just saved the sim directly after it turned to night. I suppose it will change to day again at 26900 cycles, but I want it accurate from the beginning!

Sometimes when starting a new sim it starts with night instead of day.

I'll take a look, but this sounds like it is by design.  The day/night counter is stored in the sim.  If you save it at night, then re-load it, it will still be night.  If you save it with X cycles to go before sunrise or sunset, then reload it, it will still take X cycles until sunrise or sunset.  Sunrise and sunset don't happen on nice round numbers of cycles unless you start the sim from 0 with day/night cycles enabled from the beginning.

Yeah, and I don't want it any other way, but this is when I start a NEW sim.

Ah, okay.  Probably a bug then.  I'll dig into it.  May be a day or three.

Did you forget about this?   I'll have to use annoying circomvents by first loading a sim that just changed to day before I start a new sim to keep it accurate.

Sorry, slipped off the queue.  Consider it bumped up in priority...
