Our first post.  

Was there something like a reset or something. The last time I looked I knew for sure there where more users.  

Wow, there is one post to zero users. Not that much posts but the average posts/user is infinity.

Edit:I just saw this is my 100st post, wow 99 posts more then the whole forum.

I've seen this happen before, but I'm not sure if it ended up fixing itself or not.  If in another week or so it's still broken, I'll try and tinker with it.

We had a whole spew of spam bots register for about 6 or 7 months.  Something like 20 a day.  Eventually I figured out a better spam filter / captcha, and the spam registrations dropped to 0.

Then about a month later I went through a deleted any members who never posted.  Some were legit members that, well, had never posted, but most were spam bots.  That dropped the legit user count down to about 150.

So you might be the 2000th registered user, but 1800 of the previous registrations were just spammers.

Recently the board has been screwy, it never remembers me logging in and I have to re-logon every time I come here.  Any idea what is causing this?

If you log in from another computer, you'll need to log in to the DB forum again.  Also, if there's another forum on the same webspace that you log in to, you'll need to log in to Darwinbots again.  (Though you probably never experienced that second one ).

Other than that, no idea.

wait doesn't that mean that someone hates db enough to spam here?

It's not people who even know what Darwinbots is.  It's just Invision Power Board spammers who make a list of everyone who runs IPB.  It stopped completely once I installed a better CAPTCHA.
