It seems to work as designed for me: the bot only reproduces when I swing it around (otherwise repro is blocked by the previous offspring) and only stops when it's dead.

EDIT: Indeed, that one does work, however ...

Try this one. It will tie to a veg and start churning out sterile copies that do nothing but go backwards.

Eventually, it stops producing, even though its repro gene is activated, and it's got more than enough energy

You can see it better if you only load one of them

WAD again! Reproduction is prevented if the bot has less than 2 body.

I don't know if it's such a good thing, but that's the way it's been for some time now.
