It never seems to work when I use it. Of course my longest sims are only round 10000 cycles but I dont know if that matters.

are you talking about clicking King Bot?
mine works. [version 2.42.6a]
are you certain you don't have Viewing Grid unchecked in Robot Info?
that would make it difficult to see.

can't think of any other reason.

btw ... the King Bot selection, afaics ...
only uses number of offspring.
I would love to see this changed to being user defined ...
ie: user selects a combination of weighted factors such
as # of offspring, age, # of kills, # of mutations, energy ...
or even Nums Invested Energy ...
whatever one thinks should determine the most vialble
bot for whatever reason ...
to offer a little versatility/tweaking to the selection.

this then, is also the bot that is auto-saved as well.
