I have made my first entry in the blog, but it says 0 entries.

You need to make your entry a final instead of a 'draft'.  You can also set the blog to automatically make all your entries final instead of drafts.

What does that mean? Does final mean I can't make any more changes to it?

I don't think so.  You'd have to play around to find out.  I think final just notifies people who may be subscribing to your blog for updates that there is an update.
