Title: So you're a programmer?
Post by: Numsgil on June 04, 2005, 06:14:35 AM
All the threads in this sub forum are (relatively) easy to program, and don't break the functionality of other bits of code.

If you have some VB programming skills, and would like to join the programming team, this is a good place to start.  Pick a thread here, devise a system for it (where one hasn't already been proposed in the thread) and program it.  Everything here should only take a few hours or a day at most of serious effort to solve (if you're fairly decent and experienced.  Programming times may vary.  Void where prohibited.  Not intended for citizens of Arkansas or New Jersey.)

Send me a PM and I can tell you if I have any forms started for it in the code, or any ideas for how to proceed, etc.

This also will go along way towards people taking any drastic suggestion you have seriously.  If you can prove you can program the idea you have, people will be more willing to play with it in their minds and give positive feedback.

There were some python-to-DNA converters written in python a while back.  Other than that there isn't much use for python :/
