edit: I have just reverted internet mode to its original settings on client side. Enjoy!

Alright, just resolved another minor compatibility issue. Same exe file.

On one computer IM works fine, on another I get this: http://imgur.com/PJCQRQl

Did you uninstall everything, and install the 2-48-11 package and then install 2.48.16? Sorry for the craziness, me and Peter where debugging. If you still have problems after that, contact Peter. I do not physically manage IM.

There are two separate IM servers at the moment. Protocol got changed between versions. Seems to be a mismatch between server/client.
Old port is 79, new one is 4669. Change the port in internet->server port to 79 or 4669 and it would work.

Thanks, changing to 4669 helped. The program uploaded a bunch, but nothing is coming back, I get "server got not bots" message.
Never mind, i'm getting bots now and then. Most of the time I get "server got no bots", but sometimes bots do come in.
How do you manage the number of bots stored on the server?
And now I'm getting this: http://imgur.com/1n8jCcI

The low activity may be because the I'm only one at this server(and all of my sims got to a slowdown). Most are on the server at port 79.
There aren't a lot of bots at any time on the server. It keeps them in memory till another sim requests bots.
The error. The server send a bot back, but what the client gets is corrupted. The client tries to read it again till it isn't(and that doesn't happen). That's a bug, I'll fix that. In the meantime restarting the im client should stop it.
-
So, which one should I use - 79 or 4669? It's just a different place to store bots or is there anything else different between the two?
Can we, perhaps, keep a bunch of bots on the server at any given time? Maybe accumulate 1000 bots and then give out one only in exchange for a bot coming in?
-
Use port 79 for currently popular internet mode and 2-48-11 installer. User port 4669 with experimental internet mode and 2-48-15 installer. Let me know what your choice is. I have enough bug fixing on its way to join you. :)

4669 will process stats files. i.e. data about your sim will be saved on the server. Which are used to make graphs.
IM graph: http://198.50.150.51:4668/dbim
Random sim: http://198.50.150.51:4668/viewsim/3
And it displays the name from who you got the bot.

I'm thinking about installing version A on one of my computers and version B on the other and test them at the same time. Popular sim mode I guess is the default that's been running. I'm not sure what experimental means yet. Maybe I'll see that when I've installed it. :)

Testlund, I recently found 3 bugs I think I fixed. Two from IM (hacked to run from vb), and one playing with tidal mode. (This one I know I fixed) :)
-
OK, I'll wait until the next drop then.

I still get an invasion of bots on the version I have. :/
