Hey Num

Has somebody been mucking about with your siggy again?

Wonder how long it's been that way?

The siggy's actually a combination of my own poetic skill and the mendel poem generator (http://www.pangloss.com/seidel/Poem/).

Ironically of the three lines I like best, two are from the poem generator.

Here's a quick dirgy it came up with:

Darwinbots is the best ALife progam ever
If you give me a chance, I'll try to cheer you up
My crime is hidden in bread and silver
I think I'm gonna throw up

Nice, but there is no logical flow between the sentences. One sentence talks about one thing , the other about a different thing.

Its like making a random bitmap generator , each pixel is a random color. It looks more like moon dust then a picture.

Maybe it's random...

And maybe it's just really deep.

Hey, at least it rhymes.

Don't think so.

All it ever did was to link into another thread on this board.

Maybe it got changed at some point.

I know, utter fucking brilliance. Everyone should see this. How about we start a campaign to spread it all over the web?

I'm not sure that that's such a good idea. People usually don't like spam.  :(

WE CONTROL THE VERTICAL AND THE HORIZONTAL. AND THE DIAGONAL. OH, AND WE'LL TAKE DEPTH AS WELL.

YOU CAN KEEP THE 4TH DIMENSION, THOUGH- IT'S A BIT OF A PUSSY, TO BE HONEST.

Because I'm going to put this thread in the one place no one will ever find it! THE BEASTIARY FOLDER!

No, someone is a mod, and has been a mod for some time. I feel guilty for destroying a perfectly innocent thread. Oh well, it's out of my ball park now.

Fine then

If you don't want to be able to do stuff in the beastiary (bestiary or however the bloody thing is spelled) then I will remove you pair of ingrates forthwith

I don't want to be a killjoy or anything but that link needs to be removed.

It took a hard shutdown of my PC to get out of it.

Funny as it was, that kind of stuff is actually in violation of our agreement with Invision and could get us shut down.

Please get rid of it.

That would explain it.

But I am the Bot-God! what kind of sense would that make.

Perhaps you mean the Supreme being who is still conspicuously absent.

The trouble with that link is that it grabbed up every possible resource and stopped all of my programs from working at all. It locked up the keyboard and the mouse completely so that nothing I did would work. It was opening up about 5000 instances of Internet Explorer per second. There must have been literally millions of pages open.
The only choice I had left was the OFF SWITCH

And some of those pictures were just plain gross. I'm gonna have nightmares tonight.

Not that I (ahem ) did click on that link once...

But assuming I did, it would probably have forced me to restart my computer too.

:) knew you'll ask:

I did a 'Close Group' on it , then waited for the HTML-Script error :)

BTW

I had no idea if it was going to work.

Good idea.

Wouldn't have worked on mine though.

As I said, it locked up my mouse and keyboard so I had no way to do anything at all.

On my PC at home even the bloody off switch is software controlled. I have had that thing locked up so bad that I had to pull the plug from the wall socket.

Py, Teaches you to react faster then the computer when things go bad, If only you had more time -you would of made it, before the video card ran out of memory.

I hate computers that don't have a good off switch.

How many sci-fi movies have you seen where an instantaneous off switch would have solved alot of problems.

It took about 2 seconds for that to happen

It was to hide it from MP's rampage.  'Abusing' wouldn't be a strong enough word for the relationship between him and his modding powers.

:pokey:

That's not true. I attempted to hide it in the beastiary, but Nums moved it again, the cheeky bastard.

And besides, I can be responsible with my powers. Watch.

MP , I think what they are trying to tell you is delete threads instead of moving them.

(Otherwise the forum will be a mess again)

You aren't supposed to hide stuff in the Beastiary. That is for DNA files only.

C'mon man!

Get with the program  :D
