Why do veggies spam themselves all over when I set them to repopulate?

Good question. I keep forgetting to come back to ask that. It's like the chloroplasts mod makes it so that the max veggies threshold and repopulation threshold don't work any more.

Give me settings file please.

edit: Give me sim file to so I can make sure then DNA(s) you are loading are actually what you say they are.

Shadowgod2 you are not helping by saying put cool down up to 1000. We have to work smarter, not harder.

I'll have to recreate a setting where it spams all over, because the only fix I found was to set veggies to not repopulate.

Also when I spam a bot all over too much, I get an error saying its not a valid bot, and it crashes.

well the reason i have it do to me is that the bot doesn't produce enough chlr fast enough so the criteria for repop still holds true. by raising the cool down up it gives it time to produce the required chlr to stop the repop going over board filling the screen up with vegs. i do work smarter to see if what i am looking at is a bug or not before i post it. if all else fails then it might be a bug and i post to see if i missed something or not

Thank you for keeping me sane shadowgod.  :)

I was thinking notleagal completely ignored my "use alga v2" post and kept trying to start the sim with the old alga. Obviously that alga did not produce any chlr and you pretty much got a run away overpopulation event.

I am going to send a pm to rwill to see if he gets it too.

I was actually using the Chloroplastus bot in the starting gate. I haven't tried it with your bot yet.

But I'll go ahead and try yours now.

Alright, so the runaway repopulation events happen with that algae too.

?...

notlegal what are your repop settings top to bottom? i just want to rule out any problems with that.

botsareus a rule of thumb that helps keeps me out of trouble like that is a ?
how did he/she get to that answer? (or something similar)
and if you don't know then ask in a post.

i know i leave out details so leaving ?s but you have to understand i post after 10 pm or when i first wake up before 10 am so i'm tired and i forget to put it in until it's too late meaning i get up and have no access to my laptop. i am a helper and am lost if i don't at least try if i can. i always speak from experience here to provide a solution if possible.

i think i have everything this time in full. :)

Similar settings to this one worked fine me for in previous versions.

there's your problem. you didn't change the cooldown like i recommended. change it to at least 400 and see if that helps.
