:shoot: Buggy V3.0
Crap!
Both my short bots were unable to survive in the new buggy version when Henk ran the short-bots league.

It's because the limit on slime is gone. They're making 100 slime a turn forever and ever.

Yeah I figured that Num.
It's just that every time a new version comes out, my robots are the ones that end up sucking worse than a supercharged Dyson.
When I made V2.3 my poor little Hunter 2.16 went from top bot in the F2 and F1 leagues to a complete and utter retard that couldn't survive on its own.

I think it is because I keep using energy saving shortcuts in my robot designs. They work great and kick ass for the version they are designed for but they can't handle change.

EVERYONE!
Stop programming tricks like that into your bots. Just makes them more and more likely to break as the program gets larger. Look at my (okay, 1 bot) bots, have any of them been broken by a newer version? (okay, there's only been 1 newer version, and Ymir is severely untuned in 3.0).

Trouble is that when streamlining a robot is what makes the difference between an average bot and a world beater, whatya gonna do?
That is what gave Hunter 2.2 the edge for such a long time. It took almost 6 months before Shen managed to topple him with Umbra. Even then it took other bots using similar tricks to do it.
