Title: Spork, you seem board

Dig up info on how the chloroplasts actually work now from Shvarz.

Well, sorry for simply saying my idea. You never HAVE to include it, you know. It's not like I can make you anyways.

How about lets add new shapes that are shaped in ovals at random angles and when a bot enters them a new such shape is added. Also a clone of the bot is created at the new shape with all the robots sysvars mixed up in a random position inside the shape. Also a very smart calculator deletes such shapes to prevent them from completely filling up the screen and the shapes randomly rotate and move and bounce off each other.

I say lets add it, it will be soooo much fun to play with.

Uhh.. sure. If you really want to add it, you can. because I don't know how  :P

[Bumpy bumpy bump]
Seriously...Shapes would be nice to default set to black with the create 10 random shapes, and slightly smaller :3

How about no more changes or updates to DB2 and just fix the remaining bugs before I start thinking they are caused by hackers randomly changing memory locations to an exe file at runtime to cause it to fail spectacularly? You are from 'earf' after all ain't you?
Title: Re: Spork, you seem board
Post by: spork22 on October 21, 2014, 04:18:12 PM
Yeah, that's probably a better idea.  I haven't noticed any major bugs lately but it would be better to fix them before adding fancy junk.

Without bugs you miss some excitement. IE6 always surprises, rarely looks like expected.
Title: Re: Spork, you seem board
Post by: spork22 on October 21, 2014, 06:26:29 PM
But we don't want too many bugs to the point where the program is useless.

Actually Peter, I really hate bugs. The Universe does not seem to crash, at least to us. But that is a good philosophical question anyway - What happens to the universe when it crashes? But then again, not many people think that way.
Title: Re: Spork, you seem board
Post by: spork22 on October 22, 2014, 04:13:29 PM
I like to think that when it crashes, it immediately fixes itself. But enough philosophy.

I see where you are going with this tho. What fix does it know to do?  :P
Btw, why the fair of philosophical questions Sporky?

So you have not found any self-supporting virus? That is, a virus that spreads among bots and does not require a specific bot to live? You know, viruses that aren't shot by bots as weaponry.

You do realize that the two ideas contradict each other right?

Well looks like I finally got proof that he was hacking me. I got a variable that is being passed by value magically change in the parent function.  :P

Oh, classic case of it crahed from exe, copyed code over loaded bugy, ran original ran fine.

Code: [Select]
Private Sub CopyError(robn As Integer)
  Dim t As Long
  Dim accum As Long
  Dim Length As Long

  With rob(robn)

  For t = 1 To (.DnaLen - 1) 'note that DNA(.dnalen) = end, and we DON'T mutate that.

    If Rnd < 1 / (rob(robn).Mutables.mutarray(CopyErrorUP) / SimOpts.MutCurrMult) Then
      Length = Gauss(rob(robn).Mutables.StdDev(CopyErrorUP), _
        rob(robn).Mutables.Mean(CopyErrorUP)) 'length
      accum = accum + Length
      Dim t2 As Integer
      t2 = t
      ChangeDNA robn, t, Length, rob(robn).Mutables.CopyErrorWhatToChange, _
        CopyErrorUP
If t2 <> t Then MsgBox "scorpion is a dick, govt needs to grow up and let me live me life"
    End If
  Next t

  End With
End Sub

Now that he is getting the message, lets figure out what causes the size of the teleporter to change magically.
Title: Re: Spork, you seem board
Post by: Botsareus on October 22, 2014, 05:10:30 PM
Alright, here we go.

Time to prove that the size of the teleporter magically changing. And a variable passed by value being changed in the child procedure was indeed a hack, unexplainable by anything else.

And all because I simply wanted to go to MIT, get rich, and make some bad ass games.

Post by: Botsareus on October 22, 2014, 05:25:12 PM
Haha, now the teleoporters height is retuning to normal after I check the code.

Seriosly, what is WmiPrvSE.exe (two copys) wmpnetwk.exe and winint.exe
Also, what are they going to call it next time? cheeseballwinlogonint?

That is more like it, "avira shadow copy service"

What the heck did you do to your computer to make it so messed up?
Title: Re: Spork, you seem board
Post by: Botsareus on October 22, 2014, 06:22:12 PM
Its a fact. The teleporter stopped resizing itself.

If that is my computer, can you imagine how my mind is like?

And on a positive note, all I really wanted to do was run a solid bio project...

Alright, one more final jab to go. The zerobot experiment randomly freezing and only unfreezing when I click on it. Not to mention I accomplished in a few restarts more then the last 2 weeks. Because they where simply too concerned with counter measures to care.

Finally, the first sane explanation for something in the last three weeks (or so, lost track  of time a long time ago):

The freezing and unfreezing is from the process sharing actually working correctly.

I like to think that the bots are figuring out how to mess with you. At the very least, they exploit errors.
Title: Re: Spork, you seem board
Post by: Botsareus on October 23, 2014, 10:33:54 AM
I do not, impossible errors still are impossible.

We are not gods Spork, we are living in it. Not that converting pure chaos into order is an easy task either.

I know that, but sometimes they do exploit flaws in the program.

Thank you for the idea. I am about to get alot of un-restorable autosaves.  :P

Main reason why: I can not use my vb6 hack from remote desktop. But you already knew that.
Title: Re: Spork, you seem board
Post by: Botsareus on October 23, 2014, 10:06:28 PM
Btw: My best result for a zerobot is stage 9 and I was able to generate that during the few minutes I was not being hacked - there attention was focused on a different problem.

PY: vb6 has been doing a lot of weird stuff lately.
Numsgil: Damn, I guess I have to pick something more obscure.

Some words that will be written in my memory for all eternity.

On the subject of a 'zombie virus'  meaning "He only spreads when things do not work and he only preserves himself when no one is using him against no one else"

I never will make the same mistake twice. So no, you will never see me write in such darwinbots DNA ever again. Sorry.

Can your little shadow god project pull it off?

I do not really care who exactly hacked me this time. So it is nothing personal at all. All it is, I figured out how the Internet really works - reminds me of the good old days. Thank god the universe has some solidness to it.

Also, this is supposed to be the RANT section. But thank you for asking, I am fine now.
