What I mean is would it be helpful to your species is some of the 'well-off' bots shared their energy with the weaker bots to help them survive too?

The reason for the animostity between Japan and China is because China was the target of many Japanese attacks. This is true even long before the 19th century. Also, I wouldn't say that its in their 'tradition' to be xenophobic, but asian cultures are generally more closed to others outside their country than others. For example, take modern day Japan. You will find that their immigration laws greatly favour Japanese-background immigrants.

nums, you'll find that asian cultures are generally 'xenophobic and even rascist' and extremely patriotic (most of the time) and thats what creates their unique culture. it also explains why they were so isolated from the western world. in fact, i bet that they probably could have as many colonies as britain had if they had expanded a bit more... but im chinese so thats probably why i have that opinion  :P

i also love anime!!! naruto is the best!!

moonfisher の bots 怖い!! O.O theyre too good D:

But would it be helpful in a competetive or 'league' (is that what its called?) match to have more bots alive and contributing?

A HUGE THANK YOU TO THE DEVS WHO CREATED AND ARE UPDATING DB!!!!! As a game dev myself, I know that developing software is hard without people showing support for you project. So this is the place where people can and will express their gratitude.  :D

I think that 'evolution' works best with minute changes to organisms over thousands if not millions of years. Yes, sometimes it requires a great leap to spawn something new and amazing (like the first cell with a mitochondria (internal power station)), but overall, minute changes and natural selection deliver more consistent results. By the way, I don't really find the DB evolution to be very effective, as when you put two species of bots in, one wipes out another before they get a chance to evolve to a higher leve (although I guess you could just put in two species with the exact same DNA in :/ )

i think that the creation of chitin should enable the bots to create better shells (that could block some -1 shots too) and better ties as well

102
do making shells, slime, viruses and venom cost energy??

103
ah i thought that 'chloroplasts' were veggies tied onto another cell which is feeding off them and dragging them around at the same time  :D

ohh sorry i thought 'zerobot' was just the name of one of the bots. well then i guess you could introduce another species into the mix that feeds on other bots by directly attacking them (instead of say... tie feeding)

most of the MBs in the beastiary have ties that are somewhat spastic and 'strange' if you ask me...
