The wiki still gives 2.45.01 as the most recent version. Hasn't any of the more recent work condensed into a newer version?

Not yet, :/  Botsareus recently cleaned up the trunk so I think it's possible without much effort.  Just need someone to do it.

Got distracted, sorry (did you know you can get to lvl 60 from lvl 35 in WoW over a weekend?).  I still plan on packaging up a release soonish,

You can upgrade, yeah.  As the clicky says, it only affects the working copy and doesn't cause issues with the server.

Few, I was beginning to lose it a little. (Yea, allot of the old school computer geeks play WoW. I try to stay away from web multi-player since I got hacked, and I like the future better. Therefor, I am playing Descent most of the time :) Otherwise, good job on 25 levels in two days. )
