All the install does is to ensure that you have the Visual Basic runtime libraries installed.  It doesn't edit the registry beyond that.  Most computers should have that anyway.  Try just copying your DB install to a flash drive and running it like that on another computer.  It should work.

if I install it to my flash drive it will only work on that computer

What sort of error message is it giving you when you try to run it?

Again, the only dependancy is the visual basic runtime libraries (I think they're called VBVM6.dll or something similar).  You could try to copy the VB runtime libraries to the flash drive too, but you're going to have issues if the computer you want to run it on isn't the same OS, or a host of other problems.

Run depends.exe on the darwinbots executable, this will list the .dll dependencies. Copy those into your flash drive. (microsoft should have a free download for depends.exe, it a .DLL dependency checker/viewer).

Would this "some file" happen to be VBVM60.dll?

That's the Visual Basic runtime library.  Try searching your computer for any files Darwinbots hungers for on another computer, and dropping them with the exe.

Generally though, you'd have to really have a squeaky clean computer if it doesn't have the visual basic runtimes on it.  Is it a school computer?  Schools never seem to understand that they need to install more than word and internet explorer.
