Title: Gimmic 2.0
Post by: ikke on November 28, 2008, 08:32:38 AM
ROBOT TOO BIG TO FIT!

Progressive work on the gimmic bot. F3  passes blue on blue in the league table. I could not program it to advance further as f3 bot in the f2 league. The f2 version is basically an upgrade of this bot  with f2 tricks. It passes spinner 1.51 in the f2 league. No idea how it fares in f1

To do:
Get the aiming system to work better I want to strafe and be able to hit without being hit. Some work done but not there yet.
Improve tie usage and counter tie measures for the f2 version

WOW!!!

that is one mean bot you got there

well done
My newest chelleng is to make a bot that beats it with out copping its conspects

Edit: hey, you coppied my enemy locating system by transmitting the enemys co-ordinates. BETA uses it

No offense, but I took them from bubbles...

the best way to combat these is to insert a command like -32000 32000 rnd .out2 store into the init gene, then add this to each conspec:
Code: [Select]
cond
 'conspec
 *.in2 *.out2 = or
start
 '...

This is the best method I found so far.

darn. I worked so hard on that code.
well does your bot turn away if the frieend is between it and the enemy and not just stare at the friend. BETA does. and it beat bubbles

No, but currently the first bot will move to the side if hit, exposing the enemy to the second by accident. As said I want to implement strafing. That will make the whole point moot.
I can't wait untill your bot beats mine. It's no fun competing agains versions of your own bot and I hit a wall competing against bubbles with an F3 bot.
