okay what kinda computer are all of you running?

it did help like EricL suggested to make the room larger but only for a bit. it locked up after 1000 offspring and about 4 seconds...

theres no time to see if its "more advantagous" because it just freezes.

The most difficult part is the string manipulation.  How familiar are you with string manipulation in VB or C++?

VB is much easier for string manipulation.

you can download for free Microsoft Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition

its a programming environment for VB. Takes a long time to download and install but well worth it.

well they are supposed to self limit thier population

but I see what your saying about how they cant evolve.

but the mutation locks up my computer after only 20 cycles.

I'll try using the environment...


though I did find one use after saving the mutations DNA and patching some holes....     nighty night bascilla

I g2g for tonight. I finally got that mutant gene that I was going to use to trash your sim. saved the DNA but when I loaded it it into a new sim it said

"'s' dna hash incorrect. ignoring paramaters"


why?

and to think just yesterday I relied soley on mutations and had no grasp of the language at all...

you know I havent seen any other bots with peripheral vision. two littles genes make a world of difference.

maybe CFs come in and eat about 1000 detanators each before dying.

lol its sending me my own death bots now...

basically I reprogrammed the CF to HAVE the breeding disorder.




you know. me programming in the disorder doesnt work near as well as them getting it accidentally... I'm goona save a mutants DNA for this purpose...
