Guys.. Viruses here are underpowered..
First. I downloaded new DarwinBots 2.42.9 and noticed at least one thing.
Viruses shots goes much closer that before.. All my test SIMs w/
viruses shows much less infection rate.. So now they are quite uneffective.

I wouldnt touch mkvirus thing, its slow.. but let it be.. but virus should go much
far away that now. Many viruses can go throught significant distances to infect someone ;)
Thats why they are till here.. after billions of years.

Im voting for fixing it again :>

Okey.. Ive checked a bit.. and unfortunely 1.3 doesnt have svnsync so we cannot
do replication to that repository...

Ah.. they run 1.3.0.. I need to read how those 2 can cooperate really.
AFAIK they cant since they done some major stepts between 1.3 -> 1.4

I dunno what access you have to that SVN repository.
Do they allow you to do backups? ie: svnadmin dump?
If you have shell access then its good.. if dont.. dunno what you can do
Usualy you pust svnsync in crontab to do repo sync at night.

I dont use webhost at all.. Its on my private servers around ;)

Also, question is what version of SVN they run....

Can you check things out?

Oh well.. Do they guarentee you that?

I cannot, but I dont see reason why I should go down..
Also.. using svnsync we will have few up to date repositories as online backups.
So switching from one repo to another is not big deal. And if one of my servers
will fail.. we still can reopen other one for write and use it w/o delay.

I really like distributed ideas. Keeping things in one place is not safe.
Also, there is a chance that someone else could donate aswell.
SVN doesnt easts much resources and bw really.

Unfortunely.. I dont have that great tracview becuase that needs more effort to setup.
I have few repositories on my own I and prefer to keep the clean&fast (and safe of course).

Hello..

I tried to access SVN repo of DarwinBots C++... And actualy I was able
to checkout sources only once ;)

Is it really so slow or im just unlucky?

If so, I could donate a server or 2.. for SVN repositories for darwin bots.
SVN 1.4.x have svnsync so we could have few readonly repos for ppl
to see.. and one main site for developers only when actualy commits
happens.

Both servers will allow only svn:// protocol.

What do you guys think about that?

Sorry.. Didnt had time to touch the sources yet...
I received a lot of new tasks at work and I will be quite occupied
until end of March I guess. Also I have to write tool for my LAN network,
since LAW in my country is very annoying...

When I will finish first compilation of project, I'll let you know...

Now I will install all dependecies (OGRE, STLport, FOX) and install it
to be able to compile DarwinBots.

Yeah, I found it.
I like the way he integrates with explorer.
Since im ClearCase user, this looks familiar.
Anyway, to install it, I need to update MSI to 3.0 (MS Installer)
and im very very strict about adding anything to my Win2000.
I dont feel (for now) to install it.

Hmm, I downloaded RapidSVN..
Simple but quite too.. spartan.

Anyway, I have problem exporting repository...

Also, that SVN site is very slow to me ;/ I need to export sources. to work on them.

Any clues what is wrong?

And btw.. I hope everything there is already LF only (no CR/LF - Windows/DOS).

Okey.

Seems that I have to check my old C++ sources I wrote years ago,
to refresh C++ knowledge a bit.

Project files usualy are relative to Project dir, so they should work
everywhere. Also, its necessary to have this project files included,
since I cannot create .res files (for GUI) and make all necessary
files to build it up.

(And yes ;) I dodnt code much of C++ under WIN32, basicaly
I stik to API + C only, so it will take a little time for me to refresh
the knowledge).

AIM or MSN?? Sorry.. im not using any of those services.
I prefer IRC because from the begining, it provided one to many
communication, so needed in discussing projects ;)

I have jabber account too.. If someone is not familiar with IRC.

Im total n00b if we are speaking about VB :)
If you have some time, then please try to reproduce it yourself.
It happens very often.. 1/2 sims in my case.
Grab borg robot sources, grab my settings
ftp://ftp.benet.uu3.net/upload/borg.set
Delete tank and add tiebot (Tie-Bot 12)
and start sim.

You can put this bots instead of tiebot:
Devincio_Dominator_Invincibalis
Devincio_Eversor - Tie Destroyerr

Hello.

Whats the status of the C++ version of DarwinBots?
The sources accessible via SVN doesnt look complete.
There is no (at least) Makefile to build it, and also I heard
that MSVC 6.0 is used to devel tool, there is no project
files aswell.

Another thing.. Why C++ was choosed? Isnt better to use C only
for core programing? Its much esier to understand how code works
Personaly, all that Classes thingies scared me off..

Is there any GUI working yet?
I would be glad to check things out.. and maybe join the project.
(im not C++ fan.. but after a while I will refresh how things works ;)

Okey, finaly.. Tiebot defeated! :)
Still... mkvirus issue is open.. its nice to have it spread much faster ;)

Anyway, im constantly have problems with my DarwinBots 2.37.6
It crashes with error code -6.
Any clues why it happens?
