Title: Solids and fluids
Post by: Welwordion on April 22, 2006, 01:08:48 PM
Ok thats something up until now I do not really understand what  is the differences in making the sccren a fluid or solid? And what are the exact differences between those 3 states?

Fluids have a resistive force that's proportional to velocty.  The harder you push the harder the medium resists you.

Solids have friction, where the force is independant of velocity.

I could go into the math if you're interested, but that's the simple summary.

Remains the question about the 3 different states fluids and solids have ^^

The degree of resistive forces.  Teflon isn't going to slow the bots down as much as sandpaper.  Thin fluid isn't going to be as thick and so won't slow the bots down as much.

All options that are changed with those controls are available for finer tweaking in the "advanced controls" dialog box.

I think a good help would be nice to new people. And give direct examples of how they work, to immediate establish what is good for what and why… Just a thought
