Hey Bots

Numsgil:
I hate just ignoring topics, it makes me go

If bots wants to crack open's source code and add his code into there in a readable manner agreeable with the style of the rest of the source code I'd be more than happy to make a little switch-between button.

Griz:
yeah ...
it's called "working together for a common cause" ...
and takes two to tango as well. ;)

however, I don't know that we need a lot of duplication ...
perhaps incorperating the best ideas from each ...

btw ...
doesn't seem your 'reset position' button does anything
but redraw the display ...
a restart resulted in a return to the old position.
now if I go into the box and redraw ... that works fine.
and ...
now that I have played with it a bit and figured out that
clicking in there will bring up the 4 corner controls ...
and not push the box outside of the borders ...
I find I am able to control and make it do what I want ok.
that's really the thing that bugged me ... having it go beyond
the borders and not being able to get it back.
so I can get yer version to work ok ...
and once smaller then the window, I can drag it as a whole.
can't seem to do that with Bot's.
bottom line ...
either way ... the placement/repopulation now works ...
which is what it was all about in the first place ...
just took awhile to get it addressed/implimented. ;)

Yes, this is true, but as soon as the control loses focus it's results are clipped and save into the TmpOpts...

So maybe when you're hitting "start new" it's not sending a "lost focus" command to the rob placement.

The quick workaround it to click on a new species in the species tab after editing the rob placement.  I know that'll send the "lost focus" command to the control.

Hence the reset button.  Not perfect I know, I gave up before alot of control I wanted were implemented, it was taking far too much time.  Way more than I thought it would.  It'll get seriously redone for the C++ port.

Actually that was a fast turn around time.  Many suggestions and ideas get stuck in limbo for months and months before getting coded.

ok Nums ... I'm beginning to catch on ...
you are never mistaken ... and never wrong.
I have been witness that disease of 'scientists' all of my adult life. ;)

Numsgil:
I think I missed the connecting train on that thought.
