PY good scientest? then why is here only for the battle prehuman programed robots aspect of the program?

Who is the good scientest here, the one that society unmersfully and utterly wiped out like a foot rag.

There is your fucking peer review this is the best post I have ever made. (exsept for the fact that it involves py, and in some aspects Py is a great scientest, for 1 atleast 20 of his papers were actualy PEEERRRR REVIEWWWWW.... F THAT, IF I CANT GET THEM TO EXSEPT MY IDEAS HERE, HOW CAN I GET THEM TO EVER BE PUBLISHED , F MY COLLAGE HOMEWORK, THEY EXPECT ME TO BE A BUM ON THE STREETS , GESS WHAT? YOU GOT IT BABY, jessy made it once again MOSTER , MONSTER GORAGE , MONSTER, MONSTER GORAGE.

I got more nice things to say:
NUMSGILS TURNINIG THIS INTO A BATTLE OF THE ROBOT PROGRAMERS GAME OWNS BABY!
NUMSGILS PUTTING DOWN CARLO, LIKE HE WAS A non-good-scientest-type OWNS BABY! WAY TO GO! CARLO the only one who was brillient enough to convirt aspects of real life cells into a computer program, was deffinatly a bad scientest, yep.
I MEAN GIVE ME A FUCKING BRAKE HERE. WERE DARWINBOTS IS GOING IS NOT PRITTY, THE KIND OF RESPECT THEY HAVE FOR TRUE SCIENTESTS THAT ARE WILLING TO PUT THERE TIME IN, COMPLETLY OPEN TO OTHERS ABOUT THERE WORK, BASE EVERYTHING NOT ON THE OLD MOLD BUT ON FUCKING-A TOP LEVEL EXPERIMINATION. FUCK MAN , THERE IS NO RESPECT.

Unless anyone is terribly opposed to the idea, I'm sort of leaning towards locking these sorts of threads, esp. when they become highly cyclic (either with themselves or other recent threads) and lack any constructive development.

I just feel like I've had this exact conversation like umpteen times already.  It's crowding out the archives where more useful threads are being burried.

well ...
takes two to tango/tangle ...
so you could end it by just letting it go ...
don't contribute.

I mean ...
it's either an open forum or it isn't ...
people can say what they want ...
or you can control what they say.
up to you ...
as I said ...
it appears to be your project.

I say what I have said before; if [Bots] wants to do one thing and [Nums] another then cool, that's just more diversity and extra choice for users. No need to get into these polarised 'debates'. Just offer both.

:D Ulciscor :D

I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure.

"just offer both"

now there ya go!
let's hear it for diversity.

there is no 'better' way ....
one way that will work in any and all circumstances ...
only different ways/approaches ...
none of which will ever 'do it all'.
so let us choose/use whatever works ...
whatever is appropriate ...
in a given case.

I hate just ignoring topics, it makes me go

If bots wants to crack open's source code and add his code into there in a readable manner agreeable with the style of the rest of the source code I'd be more than happy to make a little switch-between button.

yeah ...
it's called "working together for a common cause" ...
and takes two to tango as well. ;)

however, I don't know that we need a lot of duplication ...
perhaps incorperating the best ideas from each ...

btw ...
doesn't seem your 'reset position' button does anything
but redraw the display ...
a restart resulted in a return to the old position.
now if I go into the box and redraw ... that works fine.
and ...
now that I have played with it a bit and figured out that
clicking in there will bring up the 4 corner controls ...
and not push the box outside of the borders ...
I find I am able to control and make it do what I want ok.
that's really the thing that bugged me ... having it go beyond
the borders and not being able to get it back.
so I can get yer version to work ok ...
and once smaller then the window, I can drag it as a whole.
can't seem to do that with Bot's.
bottom line ...
either way ... the placement/repopulation now works ...
which is what it was all about in the first place ...
just took awhile to get it addressed/implimented. ;)

Yes, this is true, but as soon as the control loses focus it's results are clipped and save into the TmpOpts...

So maybe when you're hitting "start new" it's not sending a "lost focus" command to the rob placement.

The quick workaround it to click on a new species in the species tab after editing the rob placement.  I know that'll send the "lost focus" command to the control.

having it go beyond
the borders and not being able to get it back.

Hence the reset button.  Not perfect I know, I gave up before alot of control I wanted were implemented, it was taking far too much time.  Way more than I thought it would.  It'll get seriously redone for the C++ port.

Actually that was a fast turn around time.  Many suggestions and ideas get stuck in limbo for months and months before getting coded.

you are never mistaken ... and never wrong.
I have been witness that disease of 'scientists' all of my adult life. ;)

That wasn't a terribly constructive or nice thing to say...
