Whats the deal with 2.4?
« on: September 08, 2005, 08:23:06 PM »
Num are the ties in 2.40.0 backwords compatible? example:

in 2.37.4 we have robot A that uses ties more effisiantly (specifically for movement) then robot B

Will this robots still be on avragly the same skill levels in 2.40.0 (robot A still beats robot B) ?

P.S.
When do we expect to get swimming back, if you are a stuck with it let us know, we are physics guys down here we can figure it out.

Ties should theoretically be backward compatible.  There is one odd targeting bug I'm aware of where a 4 bot MB wasn't firing the right ties to the right places.

It wouldn't be terribly difficult to put back the tie forces the way Carlos had them, but I'm just not sure they're correct.  Especially if the bot pair is spinning.
