So I thought I'd try running a King of the Hill sim...

Jeffalish held til turn 60. Singula and Republican Wasp almost made it to 100 cycles, but that didn't save Wasp from having to rest for quite a while. Eye turtled at <6 units all the way while other bots died. Nothing changed among the top two.

Last one today.

A lot of bots now in the list opted for fast reproduction, including Gnat 3.0. Quickdraw spends the first 30 cycles in the bottom half (probably distracted by all the bot spam) before picking up speed and reaching a quarter of Fruit Flies numbers. At the bottom several lone survivors battled to not be the first one to die, with the last Jeffalish making it all the way to an unexpected 4th.

At the usual draw time, Quickdraw had managed to get an even ratio with Fruit Flies, so I left this one run for longer. Eventually they both flatlined, Fruit Flies at 600 units and Quickdraw at 1000 units.

TieFighters looks like a new contender to fear. Jeffalish again clings around to beat the bottom half, so did Defenders v0.01. First time four species make it to cycle 200. Detonator v1.2's lone survivor managed to outlast 31 TieFighters into cycle 300, but not the last one, which died promptly after grabbing third place.

Pacifist started replicating almost as quickly as Quickdraw and held to third from the start. Gnat 3.0 and TheOne had a rough time this round. Eye turtled too much, hanging low with a few units while the rest were in the dozens and hundreds. Five species made it to 280 cycles this round, and the four top made it to 430.
