Can bots strafe?  I.e. can they move in the direction different from the direction of the main eye?  I think I see bots doing that.  Weird...

Yea they can. I only seen this onces the robots evantualy lost it. If in your simulation they can keep it I will be happy.

Just store a value into .sx or .dx and the bots will move perpendicular to their line of sight.

Ymir uses strafing quite extensively and so does Hunter 3.0.
