Okay I'll start this off with a short bit about the use of ties I've seen in bots. Feel free to add whatever you feel like in response.

I've seen several different species develop constant ties in enviroments like zero momentum, and maximum brownian motion, flying, and gravity well(Pit) enviroments. Presumably for varying reasons such as increased height(Pit), extra motion(zero momentum), and stabilized motion(flying and max brownian). In the brownian motion sim I actually witnesed the evolution and de-evolution of tie usage, with the comming of a canni into the group; in other sims all the bots were Canni's, but seemed to be more or less distributing the burden around allowing constant tiers to thrive.

I've seen some bots lining up one after another to form letters on screen saying: "Are you there, god?  Why do we have to suffer so much?"  :)

Seriously though, I've tie-forming bots develop in gravity-enabled sims.  Cannibalism is a common feature that develops often, but sometimes it goes away.  Frankly, it is hard to generalize - I try not to run similar sims over and over, I try to go for different things, so I would not expect any common traits to appear.

Ive seen several of the older bots split there waste removal genes in half so they constantly *.waste .shootval store. Which is wierd cus as bots get older and build up waste their shots get more powerful.

Apart from veggies becomming cancerous, they often get the
Code: [Select]
15 .aimdx rnd storewhich makes the vegs move randomly around, maybe we should call it "the drunken mutation" or "drunken vegs", this makes the vegs increasingly hard for the bots to catch.

You know, I saw the same thing.  But it was slightly different.

"Are you there, God?  We have to pee."  Interesting.

My bots always develop constant shoot, and most of the time cannism. Constant rotation, kinda "looking around" is also common. There are robs in all the sims mutating their repro gene, so that they stop fussing with children. These bots usually get "too" old, thus increasing avg age and decreasing variability. To prevent this I placed a suicide gene in my bots DNA.
