New tie structures

Modding's probably better now that I think of it.   I'm hoping that it will improve mutations (but only time will tell!)

Context sensitive read and write commands probably will work well, I don't see any problems with them.  If settie is 0 (ie: unset) then readtie and writetie take an extra value from the stack.

Sounds good!

I'll probably start implementing this code rather soon when I start coding tie physics.  Probably some time in the next few weeks.  People who haven't read this yet give it a good read and comment before I actually commit anything to code.

I know, it's long.  I'll write a summary and start it as a new topic later maybe.  It's still a good read, shows you the process of the refinement of an idea .

It's also a little complex for those who aren't intimitely familiar with the internal tie structure of the bots.

We could probably use a wiki article about the way that bots address their ties within the program structure.

another excellent example of the process of evolution. ;)
it includes our ideas/concepts/memes ...
life is dynamic ... life that is static isn't life ... it's dead.

anyone here familiar with the books/ideas of richard dawkins?
or should that be another thread?

~griz~

Numsgil:
Hmm, keep threads on topic?  I don't think we've ever tried that before.

Might be a good idea to give it a shot.
