Artificial Life software?
« on: May 12, 2005, 09:54:59 AM »
Okay just a simple question:

What Artificial Life sofware do you know and have played around with?

I have tried:

Avida, Tierra, E-den, DarwinBots :D , DarwinsPond, Ant simulation (it doesnt qualify as a AL sim, does it?   ) & Conways Game of Life.

I cant remember all them!

But that also rises the question what qualifies certain software as being Artificial Life?, I will post a new topic about this one!

I've tried a few things (bitozoa and a DOS AL sim that sucked). I tried Tierra, but it won't work with my Windows XP. As for cellular automata, I was really into that before DB. I Used MCell, which contained a load of cellular automata and CA rules. I even made alot of things for the star-wars rule which I kept to myself.  It's still fun to use now and then. I stopped looking for Alife sims after I found DB :) .
