2.43.1m upload here!
« on: November 18, 2008, 11:37:01 PM »
Hi everyone,

IM never works in 2.44, and it usually crashes within about 5 minutes after starting, so I give up- Can someone upload the latest, stable version of DB for me here? Really appreciate it!

It's actually still hosted, there just aren't any prominent links.

You can find L here, or M here.

Those both still crash almost instantly after I load A. pollinator and A. minimalis...

Could it be fixed by a reinstall of DB 2.1?

Maybe.  What's it say when it crashes?

Usually, it just closes, and says "DB yada yada yada... has encountered an error. Would you like to send an info report to microsoft?", but it once said something about an array indexing error.

Also, internet mode never works.

In fact, worse than that, if I restart internet mode a few times to try to get it working, it makes DB crash with the aforementioned error.

However, I usually just get that crash after running a sim for about 1000 cycles.

Hmm, if you're getting it a lot either you're using some really weird settings, or it's a driver bug.  You could try reinstalling 2.1.  If you're running Vista, make sure to run the installer as an admin.

Try restarting.  Sometimes file handles don't close properly on windows for whatever reason.
