Long Time Simulation Bug
« Reply #15 on: April 07, 2005, 04:21:28 PM »
20 minutes. 130,000 cycles. Been looking at DNA all over the place. 38 happy little wildly mutated firstbots still zipping around with no problems.

They still haven't learned to turn yet though.

after you pause go to robot options , mutation rates... select the robot first , "robot options" is a menu

Did you catch the second part?

My cycles is 41500 with fast forward on all the time... looks good,

Btw even when I did bot8g it still did not know how to turn... and that was a special system of evolution , not this simple simulation test...

got to love the big fat alga...

Yes

I have been playing with all kinds of stuff, including everything you listed.

ran for 38 minutes, 284,000 cycles on accelerated speed without so much as a hiccup then the bloody thing crashed with an overflow error.

Like I said, I never run looooong sims and that is why.

My is at 140000 right now , lest time I got that bug was a lot shorter trust me, I gess its a really rear bug, never mind PY. Or it might be that all my robots suddenly began to act stuped and reproduce like crazy without moving... that would explain them suddenly changing angles...
