What EricL really looks like
« on: April 01, 2008, 07:18:52 PM »
I found EricL hanging out in my MMORPG server a few minutes ago.

Here is what he really looks like.

I don't really have hair that color. The bunny hood hat is a prize I got for collecting Easter Eggs

So how is ROSE? I remember seeing it along time ago, but the monthly fee made me not want to play it.

Also, somehow I always knew EricL would like like that, though I had suspected blue hair....

EDIT: Dang, I need to type faster.

Rose is fun.
I've been playing it for about 3 years now.
And there is no fee at all on my server.
Just go to Kuro-tejina.com forums  and download our custom client then play for free.

It's in the Downloads section of the forums.
Also in the Announcements section

Here is a direct link to the installer
http://webfilehosting.com/9PAWNFHAHK6E/KTRose_Installer.zip

This is WAY bigger than 200 meg though.
The entire installation will take up about 1.2 gig so if space is an issue this may not be the game for you.
Having said that, it easily fits onto the 2 GIG memory stick that I bought at Walmart for 19 bucks.

If you choose to give it a shot, you can either go to our actual game website to register an account http://ktrose.no-ip.org/index.php?a=3
or just create an account at the login screen. Just type your chosen username and password. It will tell you that the account does not exist but as soon as you retype your details it will instantly create it and let you in.

I may check this out sometime, but my personal experience of MMORPG's is that you're just some character hanging around chatting with people. You may have heard of Second Life, a very promising game. I saw a lecture on YouTube about all the cool things you could do. Still I could only stand it for a day. Maybe it's just me.

My favorite MMO of all time was Ultima Online.  Most other games I play for at most a month, and get bored, and never play again.  I played Ultima online, though, for probably a year all totalled, all at different times over the years.  I wish newer MMOs had followed that train of thought instead of Everquests'.

Another good MMO: Starport GE (plus it's free).  And last, A Tale in the Desert, which isn't free but it's very good.

Hmm. By any chance, does starport ge use the subspace engine?

If you like Ultima you might want to check out Darkfall, if it ever comes out at least.

problems with that
1. there is no walmart in england but walmart owns asda
2. there are no asdas anywhere near me
3. the cheapest 2 gig memory stick there is is £25 (not sure how many dollars but must be near 50)
well its not the game for me then
but theres always another game somewhere some game thats in a browser! no stupid donloads and not browser based!

I played WoW for the two week trial, and it was fun enough, but not fun enough for me to plunk down $15 a month or whatever it was.  Played Eve Online for exactly one month.  Couldn't get in to it.  (It's pretty though).  Played Dark Age of Camelot for maybe two months.  A couple web MMOs for maybe a month or two.  (Travian comes to mind).

Its obvious from Ericl's Avatar, that he is indeed a ex-Nazi German Shepphard in disguise as a boxer to infilitrate the French. Quite usefull in disguising the fact that Irish based on the dog's preference of beer. Although from the resolution it looks to be either a Heiniken, or a Bittbu:rger (cant do ummlout)
