Bots and Simulations > Internet Mode Commentary

Its a bot-eat-bot world out there...

EricL:
I think it's curious that CostX in my IM sims has been zero for quite a long time.  I don't know whether it's the difficulty in catching veggies such as shrinking violet or the effectiveness of macro preditors such as Lionfish 7, but the populations have been self regulating without costs for days and days...

MacadamiaNuts:
Probably macro predators would try always to push the sim to lower costs. They have more to gain than bots with lesser consumption. Then, when they are at even level about costs, they get the full advantage from their 'weaponry'.

I've been off IM several days. If there's any LF7 still alive, I'll try to catch one and see what changed.

MacadamiaNuts:
Woah! Sim populations sure got small!

Numsgil:
I'm not sure why, but I think this sort of self-regulation is an indication of ecosystem health.

MacadamiaNuts:
Meh, I started a sim with 'anemone' veggies only, but I'm not receiving any bot.

Also, LF7 graph is doing weird things. It was at 100 a while ago, then jumped to 300, then spiked to 1000.
