Problem with decimals
« on: January 11, 2007, 02:04:12 PM »
Hi,

I have the problem, that I can't use any decimals in DB, in instance for the costs.
Whenever I used one the costs are ignored in the simulation.
Taking a look at the costs shows, that the entered decimal (0.04) had been changed to 0,04.
If I now click on OK and reenter the costs-menu the value is 0.

I can imagine the problem has to do with the fact I'm using a german System, cause I can remember I had a similar problem with Excel once, but I don't know how to check this, so maybe someone else knows how?

I have this problem with every version I used yet (from 2.1 over 2.37.6 to 2.42.9 - 2.42.9s).

Thx,
Schigum

This is what you need to do. Go into your language settings in the control panel and change the decimal. Check the screenshot.

I think we disgussed this for months before we found out what the problem was.    Maybe this should be put as a sticky?

It's definately an issue.  BTW, I've also managed to fix this in what little work I've done on the Darwinbots version in C#.
