Lots of good stuff including:

Several fixes to some really nasty stability bugs and crashes.  This version should be pretty solid for extended sims.
Several crashing or other serious problems with loading saved sims addressed.
Mutation values are now reloaded from saved sims correctly.
Settings now change to match a loaded sim.
Lots of graphing improvements including cofigurable update interval and "update now" button.
Graph colors now match bot colors.
error.sim outut is enabled on crashes.
Various other little fit and finish changes.

For a special treat, try clicking and holding down (not scrolling) the mouse scroll button over some portion of the field...  :)

Not included but coming in 2.43.0 (say, by mid April maybe)
  Internet Organism Sharing
  Leagues

Please report bugs as always.

My thanks to the administrator who moves this post to the annoucements forum.

Enjoy!

EricL
Many beers....

Feel free everyone to respond to this thread, I believe you're allowed to now (but not create new topics).

thanks Eric ...
more great work.

one question ... for anyone:
any idea what 'reproduce' in the robot info window is supposed to do?

It's a way to make the bot reproduce 50/50.  Lots of times I found myself needing the bot to reproduce, so this is a way to instigate it.

?????
that's what I expected it would do ...
but I never got a change in the bot or saw one reproduce.
obviously, or I wouldn't be asking what it did.
so it had me wondering if it was a feature you hadn't
yet implimented.

I just tried it now with version 2.41 and it works!!!!
I don't know how I could have missed it because that
is what I was trying to get it to do and saw no change.
perhaps it didn't in an earier version?
oh well ...
another mystery.

does it work on any bot, any time?

It will only work if there's room to reproduce, so you might have been trying to do it when something was blocking it.

yes. something was keeping it from happening.
is 'room to reproduce' the only thing you can think of that might
have kept it from happening?
that was quite some time ago tho ...
so I forget just what sim/environment/bots I was running.
thought I would bring it up now as long as we are fixing things ...
but I guess it doesn't need fixing. good. ;)

It just occurred to me to wonder how come people are managing to have a conversation in the "Announcements" forum.

I thought this was set up as Admins only.

I gave members the right to respond to announcements but not post announcements.
